The Stanford Chariot Program was founded in 2015 with a simple idea: Could immersive technology make medical procedures less frightening for children? The idea quickly took off at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford. Today, it is the largest program of its kind in the U.S. It also sparked a global movement, inspiring programs in countries around the world.
