Disability & Identity: Embracing All of You

September 30, 2025 • 10:00 AM PST

Welcome

How you see yourself matters. This session is about exploring what identity means to you and how disability fits into the bigger picture of who you are. You’ll reflect on your values, culture, and lived experience and begin to build an honest, empowering way to talk about yourself that feels strong, proud, and true to you.

Who This Is For
Young women ages 18 to 22 with communication disabilities who want to explore how disability connects with identity, culture, and community.

What to Expect
Join us for a 60-minute workshop on Disability & Identity with our special guest, Hannah Soyer. Together, we’ll explore questions about identity, self-expression, and communication. Each topic connects to a practical resource you can use in your own life.

Accessibility and Participation
You are welcome to participate in whatever way feels right for you. You can speak, type, use AAC, turn your camera on or off, or just listen. Let us know your access needs when you register, and we’ll do our best to meet them.

What You’ll Take With You
• More confidence in how you describe yourself and your experiences

• Language and tools to express your identity in ways that feel right to you

• Space to reflect on what matters to you and how you want to show up

• New ways to think about disability, identity, and self-expression

• Recognition of your identity as something to celebrate

Think of this workshop as: “There’s power in being fully yourself.”
