Our board of directors provides governance and directional guidance of every aspect of our organization.

Jean Galiana

Director

Jean Galiana joined the CCAF Board in 2022. She currently works at the Los Angeles County Department of Aging and Disabilities, where she focuses on strengthening prevention and support systems for older adults and adults with disabilities who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness. Her work includes building public-private partnerships, leading systems integration with nontraditional partners, program design and evaluation, local and state advocacy, and advancing system capacity and alignment.

Jean coauthored the 2019 book Aging Well, based on her qualitative research on best practices in aging. The publication has been downloaded more than 103,000 times to date. She remains a strong advocate for equity across race, age, and ability, with a particular focus on housing, healthcare, and community inclusion.

Jean holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Lehman College and a Master’s degree in Aging Services Management from the USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology.
